Texas Attorney General Secures $10 Million Settlement with Texas Children’s Hospital

Dr. Eithan Haim, a surgeon and whistleblower on transgender procedures, praised the establishment of the detransition clinic, stating, "The impossible was done by @KenPaxtonTX and his team. Because of their hard work, the country's first detransitioner clinic will be opening at Texas Children's Hospital." Haim emphasized the importance of providing medical services to those who have been harmed by previous treatments.

Parents’ rights activist Erin Friday also expressed support for the settlement, noting, "Having worked with detransitioners for years, I am thrilled that this settlement includes much-needed medical services for these harmed individuals."

Pro-transgender activist groups have reacted strongly against the settlement, with Andrea Segovia of the Transgender Education Network of Texas expressing concern over the detransition clinic. Segovia argued that many individuals who detransition do so due to social pressures rather than medical complications, stating, "When trans people decide to detransition, it is because of social pressures from their job, from their friends, from their family, from their government."

Despite the backlash, a growing number of young detransitioners have begun to share their experiences, highlighting the physical and emotional toll of undergoing unnecessary medical procedures.
